New User Onboarding Process

  1. Email the Facility Users Committee with your request for access and to schedule an initial consultation. 
    • List type of project, timeline, funding, etc.
  2. Attend new user orientation meeting
    • New users of the facility must schedule and attend an orientation seminar, held biweekly on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. 
    • Location: Zoom
    • Bring signed Guidelines and Etiquette document
    • Financial Index information
    • Employee/Student ID number
    • Copies of safety training certificates
      • UC Lab Safety Fundamentals
      • Annual Laboratory Hazards
    • Orientation training content:
      • Safety protocols and COVID-19 
      • FOM: Registration and use
      • Training 
      • Observation time
      • Rules
      • EM users’ Slack channel
      • EM Store
        • fill orders and gather supplies
      • Virtual Tour/Demo
      • Schedule training 
  3. Attend scheduled trainings and proceed to facility use
